MinTVET Holds 19th Human Resource and Skills Development Virtual Conference

MinTVET conducted its 19th Human Resource and Skills Development summit through a virtual conference on November 26 and 27, 2020.

With the theme, “TVET 2020 and Beyond: Flexibility. Innovation. Resiliency.,” six (6) speakers shared their time and expertise on the following Talks:

Day 1

Talk 1: The Digitization of TVET in a Changing Context: Issues and Challenges

Talk 2: New and Emerging Skills & Qualifications Beyond 2020

Talk 3: Issues and Challenges in Training and Assessment During and Post-
Pandemic

Speaker: Ms. JOJI ILAGAN-BIAN, President, JIB International Schools, Davao City,
Founding Chair, MinTVET

A total of one hundred ninety-eight (198) registered participants joined the virtual conference coming from the private and public technical-vocational institutions (TVIs), industry partners, industry partners, TESDA officials and personnel, and members of Regional/Provincial TESD Committees from the academe, labor sector, trade and industry sector.

No less than the Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Sec. ISIDRO S. LAPEÑA, CSEE, Ph.D.., delivered the Keynote address, while Regional Director LORENZO G. MACAPILI, DTE, delivered the Message for Day 1 while Rev. Fr. ONOFRE G. INOCENCIO, Jr., SDB, Ph,D., President of the Tech-Voc Schools Assn of the Phils (TVSA, Inc) delivered the Message on Day 2.
